Lifestyles

Many associate Reiki with a simpler and more healthy lifestyle. While this is not always the case, you will often find that as you begin practicing Reiki on yourself and others, you naturally begin to migrate towards a healthier lifestyle. That can include using more natural ingredients for cleaning and personal hygiene. You will also fine that switching to a more balanced vegan or vegetarian type diet can improve your ability to work and feel subtle energies. I am not saying that these changes are required, just that they often move into your lifestyle in subtle ways.

This “Lifestyles” page is designed to providing you some alternatives to explore at your own pace. A quick search of the internet will return 1,000s of amazing recommendations. Here are a few that we have found to be useful and, in the case of recipes, tasty.

Shampoo – Natural Alternative

This natural shampoo does not lather up as a traditional chemical shampoo does. It will not strip away your hair’s natural oils. Traditional shampoos do strip away natural oils, leaving the scalp to overcompensate, causing oily buildup in the hair.

When switching from traditional shampoos to this natural alternative, there will be a transition period as the scalp and hair adjust and begin to regulate the oil production, eventually adapting to a new, healthy amount.

    • Usage:Wet your hair. Squeeze some of the shampoo onto the scalp and massage all around. Let it sit for a just a moment to clean away dirt, then rinse very thoroughly.
    • Ratio:1 – cup of water1 – tbsp of baking sodaOptional: Up to 24 drops of essential oil – your preference on the type
(recommended: tea tree oil (anti-fungal properties), lavender oil, etc…)
    • Method:Mix all of the ingredients together and shake or stir until combined well. For easy application, store in a squeeze tip bottle.
